axxera AV614BH & mp3 player

Is anyone using an mp3 player hooked up to your axxera radio?

I can play ours if I use an audio cord, but if I try to use the usb connector, it won't play.

I tried my ipod and a new Sandisk sport clip. Both of these play thru the usb connector in my Subaru Forester with no problem.
Using the audio cord works ok, but the battery won't charge this way. In the Subaru, using the usb, the battery stays charged.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

There are two USB ports on my dash. The one under the rubber cover in the lower left radio is to play a USB drive. The one exposed on the dash near the HDMI inlet is for power only.

GB is correct, also if you want to do the dual mirror option you have to get a special cable for your cell phone (or what ever you are mirroring to your dash monitor) that uses the HDMI and USB power plugs that are on the dash.

As a note, both the HDMI and USB on the dash come off the back of the a radio.

FWIW attached is the manual for anyone that does not have it.

Dave, the manual has a lot of info in it.

If anyone pulls the Radio out you need the "tools" that some got with the RV...they are a curved pair of wires - I asked for a set from the CW where we purchased the RV.

Also, if you have it out there are two sets of 3 RCA plugs that come off the back should you ever want to hook the DVD player up to your two front TV's.

You will not get 1080 defination from the RCA plugs, but if you are lucky enough to have a 12V/120V TV in you RV you will be able to watch movies without running the generator at night or when on the road.

The tools for removing my radio are not curved wires. They are a flat piece of metal (very flimsy and bend easy) that slip in to move the locking tab out of the radio. Similar ones are shown on page 5 of the manual. Here is a pic of the removal tools that came with my coach.

The Jensen JRV-212 uses the curved wires, the Jensen JRV-215 uses the flat pieces as illustrated by Dave above.

Dave, could you please measure the length of the radio removal tools? Trying to buy some on Amazon but there 3 different lengths.

I'll measure them when I go out to the coach later today. Right now, off the top of my bald head, I would say they are about 6 inches long. The engage the catches about 3 inches in.
