I would think that this is the ROOF antenna coax connection, which already is 'pre run' to your roof area, if you decide to add a ROOF mounted antenna, such as the TRAVELER automatic antenna, or even one of the portables, like the King Tailgater, etc.
Most of us with satellite, though, have found that not necessarily using this 'existing' connection and roof mount gives us a lot more options, and doesn't tie us down to a 'roof mounted' antenna that can then get easily blocked by trees where we park. A portable antenna might be your best option, and it sounds like you already have one, and finding creative ways to 'connect' that antenna into your coach to your RECEIVER is paramount.
I would start by not trying to use this existing 'sat' connection, and simply place your antenna where if can easily see the satellites, run a coax cable from it into your coach to your RECeIVER, which is best placed by the TV that you want to mainly watch.
Using a SLIDE SEAL is a good place to sneak in a coax cable into the living area, or bedroom, or even a window, if the outside temperatures allow it. Some of us go to more creative extremes and find existing cable/electrical/water line entrances that have room to run our coax cable into the coach, under coaches, thru cabinets, to get to the RECeiVER, etc.
My PALAZZO supposedly came with a 'sat prep', but I've never in 5 years and 100,000 miles of travel found it, though it's doubtful I'd use it anyway. My entertainment 'box' of many buttons has a 'satellite' input, though I'm not even sure how that works since the coax from the antenna must first go to a RECEIVER, otherwise nothing with your antenna will work. The RECEIVER is really the important part of the whole equation, and what you're really paying for with satellite.
