Floor

In my newish Hurricane, I think 1 can feel the frame under the OSB flooring in certain areas...in particular along the sides when the slides are open and in the middle just behind the cockpit. Is the normal?

Are you saying that the floor is soft-ish?

The Thor floors are a sandwich with structural tubes spaced in between for strength & support
Then that is fastened to the Ford frame

So then...what are you feeling?

(Here’s a diagram of the Thor floor)

I wouldn’t say it is softish. More like it undulates. Other than the section behind the cockpit which was there from day one, the other areas seem more noticeable over time, as if the OSB board has sagged and you can tell where the framing is located. I thought maybe this is what happens over time.

OK
then your OSB must be sagging in between the structural steel framing
not sure what you can do

i had a TT once that did that, but did not have a sandwich board with foam and steel framing like your Thor.
it only had 3/4" plywood

squishy floors

I had a issue with squishy floors in the high traffic area in my 2012 Citation 24sa. The floors are a thermo bond Aluminum structure and foam insulation between a heavy plastic material. We are guessing the previous owners were heavy. The foam breaks down causing a void. There is NO wood OSB in my floors. So nothing to root. The fix I got from a British you tuber. I pulled up the Vinyl flooring and drilled 1/4 in holes every 6 inches in the soft areas into the foam. I then injected epoxy resin with a large syringe into the hole then plugged with 1/4 inch dowel. 24 hours latter I flush cut the dowels.I replaced the vinyl with vinyl plank flooring. I would assume you could do the same thing with OSB. You don't have to rip up the floors. The epoxy I used was a 2 part resin that is used to pour on table tops and crafts. You have to be careful adding any thickness to your floors as it may affect your slides The floors are now solid.
