Under sofa drawer slides

Has anyone had to replace the drawer slides under their sofa? The bearings in ours came apart and I'm looking for replacements.

We have a 2009 Four Winds Hurricane 33T with an inflatable mattress/sofa. On a recent trip out west we noticed a ball bearing on the floor, then later a few more, and the kids were complaining that the storage drawer under the hide-a-bed was tough getting in and out.

Thanks in advance for you help.

Doug

No problems with the drawer on my 2014 sofa. But now I'll check it out.

Do you know what allowed the bearings to fall out? Did something break, or was it due to the design?

The slides usually have a crimped metal piece on the end of the slide that comes apart allowing the ball bearings to escape - happened to my toolbox and a drawer slide in my old class C. Luckily I found the ball bearings, got them back in the track and crimped the metal back. I would simply measure your slide mechanism and check with your local hardware store or online. The seem to be pretty standard!

That's what I think I will have to do. I pulled the slides hoping to get a part no. or manufacturer, but I can't find any numbers or markings of any kind.

Beacher - I was not able to find any discernible damage or cause for failure. But, we just purchased this MH early this spring so I'm not sure what may have happened during the original owners time.

Thanks for the help.

Doug
