Thor ACE 29D UVW?

Hi gang,

Very interested in a ACE 29D.

I see GVWR and GCWR of 18k and 23k lbs respectively, these numbers are easy to find and I understand what they mean.

I've heard from a dealer the CCC of the 29D is 2,032 lbs.

Does this mean UVW = 15,968?

My suspicion is that all models in the ACE line have the same 2,032 CCC tag, and there has to be a meaningful UVW difference from the shortest 29d to the biggest 32B...

So I'm thinking the UVW of the 29D is less than 15,968?

TIA,

Dan

"My suspicion is that all models in the ACE line have the same 2,032 CCC tag,"

No, all models on the same chassis have the same GVWR and GCWR.

Different models with different floor plans will have different UVW and consequently different Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) which is the value equal to the GVWR minus UVW and LP. In other words, OCCC is how much weight in occupants, cargo, water and trailer tongue weight that can be added to the Motorhome without exceeding the GVWR.

Thanks for your reply.

I probably should've left out my conjecture about OCCC across the line since it wasn't really my point.

Question remains: Whats the UVW / dry weight of an ACE 29D?

Why?
Is there a bridge weight limit near you?

I can't find a reason to care what mine weighs. I only care what it can carry.

Is there a taxed weight class where you live?

29d weight is immediately available on Google.

Each plant 750 coach is weighed at the QC station and the screen door tag printed at that station and placed on the inside of the screen door. Here is mine for a 31 foot coach on an 18,000 lb chassis. Note the VIN is also on the door tag. This tag and the tire pressure tag are required by the DOT

Yup I've seen that on the 29D, as stated the OCCC is 2,032.

I'd like to know dry weight. Perhaps that data isn't as easily available as I'd hoped.

I haven't found dry weight or UVW.

Even OCCC requires a bit of digging.

Agreed GVWR and GCWR are readily available but are not what my question is about.

UVW is a fictional number. Did you see the relationship above between OCCC, LP. and GVWR? "Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) which is the value equal to the GVWR minus UVW and LP.".

You will never meet the conditions for UVW once you start using the RV so it's value is not needed. Just like shopping for Travel Trailers and looking at the UVW to determine if your vehicle can tow it - the trailer will NEVER be at UVW when in use.

What's important is the ACTUAL weight of your RV (from a scale) and how it compares to GVWR.

The Dry weight is the 15,968 number.
