front shade doesn't work

Front windshield shade wont go up or down. Tried everything we could think of that we might be doing wrong (we're newbies to RV-ing). Called tech support and he sent the wiring diagrams and told us to check the fuses. All fuses (below master bedroom bed and under steering wheel) appear to be fine. Tried the button hanging from the blind to reset it but still nothing works. Is there a way to test the switch on the dash to see if it's the switch? Funny thing is the shade worked when the dealership went over everything with us but after they delivered the RV the shade doesn't work.

OK,
Take this as you will but from reading this forum I've found:
Some are wired so you have to
Have the ignition turned on
Or
Have the ignition turned off
And/or
Have the emergency brake set

How did you use the reset switch?
If you don't have the instruction for it, it's pretty easy to set the up and down to exactly the same posisiton.

I saw a video on YOUTUBE for the switch which I have tried about 10 times now, with the ignition on, off, parking break set, etc... Nothing works to get the shade to move.

If it was me...after doing all the checks you have done:

I'd start at the switch on the dash, pull it out and see if there's a connection problem when the button is pushed

Then I'd probably move to run a 12v trial wire directly to the shade itself

If the shade motor does not work with direct 12v connection, then it's the motor.

There's a fuse box under the hood of the F53 chassis.

If your mh is new, your problem may be a loose connection.
Ours quit after 1 1/2 yr of lots of use, bad wire routing at the shade motor caused the shade to cut a wire, not too hard to find or fix.

Keep us updated

OMG, how many fuse locations does this Windsport 34J have? LoL it showed multiple on the wiring diagram but of course it doesn't tell you where they are located. The Tech support guy just mentioned the one under the bed and under the dash. Obviously he doesn't understand it's 98 degrees with 100% humidity here in Orlando and I've already lost 10 pounds just crawling around this RV checking fuses. I'll look for the one under the hood tomorrow. Taking lots of ice water with me to the storage facility this time.

I'm having trouble with my motorized windshield shade. It moves only an inch or two. I have talked to Thor, who referred me to Irvine Shade. They ran me through some motor power tests to confirm that it is good. Then they said mostly those problems are with the relay. Can anyone tell me where to find the relay for that on a 2015 Thor Axis 24.1?
TIA

Finally, use the wiring diagram on-line or from Thor to see where this "relay" is located.

Our shade picked this morning to stick in the full down postition. I could hear a small click when I hit the switch either up or down, so I knew that power wasn't the problem.

Special thanks to Ducksface for his excellent instructions for reprograming it. I dug out the little black button and followed the simple process. Success!
