2016 Thor ACE 30.1 ladder (almost certainly affects other ACE models, probably beyond

We recently traveled to Oregon (for the eclipse, hooray!) and when I started up the ladder to wash the coach after the trip I noticed that the ladder was loose, and that the heads of some screws were a quarter inch or more from the base plate.

Coach is a 2016 ACE 30.1 which we purchased new less than a year ago. I'm sure the same ladder is held on to other ACE models (and probably beyond the ACE line) with the same screws. The ladder (black) has a pair of mounting plates on the roof (one at the end of each rail,) a pair (screwed to the rear wall, also at the end of each rail) at the bottom, and two intermediate pair (also screwed to the rear wall.) Each round plate was held in place by four black screws.

Getting my screwdriver, I resolved to immediately tighten all screws. After tightening a few, I discovered that two were completely missing. I'm reasonably sure they hadn't been missing before. Worse, the head of another screw came right off when I tried to tighten it. So I suspended my tightening efforts about halfway up.

We are taking it to the dealer for this and other issues - some of which we've been trying to deal with since late 2016. My question is whether anyone else has seen something like this.

No broken screws on the ladder of our Axis but a few on the taillights. Shoddy install....

The ladder on our Hurricane was also similarly loose and we took it to the dealer for proper installation after trying to use the ladder and noticing the ladder wobbling and not feeling very stable. Sounds like another item to check on future PDI's and a lack of attention during assembly at the plant.

I've had a number of screw heads pop off, particularly on the slide trim. I believe the screws that Thor used are incompatible with alumnum and the they corrode due to electrolytic effect when they get wet. I have started replacing the screw with stainless steel on anything I don't want to fall off.
