Yes it is until June or a few thousand or miles.
Thor was quick to respond to the window, but has gone silent on the door.

I sent them two short videos showing how much the door moves in at the top and bottom. I am willing to share them with anyone that is interested.

Wouldn’t hurt to post it here. May help someone. I for one would like to see it. As for repairs are you going through the dealer for the door?

Storage for Compass 23TR

My DW is asking what other people use for storage organisation - especially in the cabinets over the bed. Do you use baskets or drawer organisers? Me - I would just throw a few pairs of socks and underwear in there and be done. But she wants to be organised and that keeps me a bit more organised too.

We travel pretty light. Under the couch we have the spare tire and two wire baskets were we carry drinking water, soda and other canned goods. We did put non slip liners in the overhead cabinets. I use one cabinet over the bed for the bulk of my things and the other for bedding and towels and such. We never fill up the cabinets over the couch so DW gets one of those and the closet and drawers.

Side Step/Running Board

Anyone install a side step or running board on their Transit 350HD? My new knee does not like stepping out of the cab. A step on the driver's side would be helpful.

Just curious?

Paul

Great - If you remember, where did you find them and what is the brand? I have been looking and can not find any for just the cab.

See post #143. I installed these running boards knowing a new knee was coming soon. 4 months out and getting used to new knee now. I just wish it wouldn't clunk with every step.

I'll check it out. Thanks.

I received a new right knee for Christmas! So nice not to be in that pain anymore... Having the left replaced in early June. Getting old is so much fun!

Thanks again.

Thanks for the running board info. I have been looking for running boards made to fit for a long time. Any chance of posting a picture of your completed install.

I nearly went motorhd's install but I really don't do well any longer trying to do fabrication work. I am trying to save my worn out knees for a while longer.

Thank you, those look great. I checked Amazon and they had only one in stock. Couldn't figure out if one means one or one set. Guess I better get busy ordering. I bet those will do wonders for keeping road tar and rocks off that corner of the coach.

Thanks, Mars8224 for the picture and model information!
Yes, mountainsam.... tar and rocks AND it might also protect the step! I have hit my step on a gas island (I cut in to avoid huge 5th wheeler pulling up into the opposite gas bay). I stopped immediately and backed up so damage is minimal but I know its there;-(

Too bad about the damage on your rig. Sometimes we forget they don’t turn quite like our car would. We never heard about you trip south this winter. Hope all went well.

LED lights over the bed?

Wondering if anyone has tried changing or replacing the LED lights over the bed. I find them WAAAY too bright, and would like to put inb a softer light, though still LED. I’m not sure if that is possible, or what to look for...

Thanks!

My southward trip was great. Driving conditions were good throughout. Even the high passes...lucky for me. Had below freezing nights on my return so I worried a bit about freezing pipes -so ran heater warmer than normal overnights and all seemed well. Nancy

I’ve had the same thought about the brightness of our bed reading lights. I’m thinking about trying a LED specific dimmer. I have had one or these installed on my home kitchen under cabinet LED strip lighting for five years.
