Chance - usually a welder receptacle is 3 wire 240 volt, not suitable for an RV. RV 50 amp is 4 wire with both neutral and ground. 2- 50 amp 120 volt hot legs. (240 between the "hots" (30 amp RV is 3 wire 120 volt) I don't believe there is an adapter to use welder receptacle to power an RV..
Dutchman28- A 30 to 50 amp adapter has an internal jumper and powers both legs of a 50 amp service but still only provides 30 amps. power has to be monitored to avoid overload.
