Does anyone know what QAM TRANFER is and of THOR AXIS has one?

The campground we are at gave me cable instructions regarding scanning their cable channels. They said we must have QAM to be able to receive signal in order to scan cable channels in. We searched this 2016 Thor Axis, looking thru manual, tried scanning all TVs but nothing

most TVs now have this, but there's been some remarks that some smaller TVs in some RVs may not... if you know you've connected correctly to the cable at the pedestal,
and you have any 'booster' button OFF,
and your 'entertainment box' is set to Cable,
and your TV is set to the INPUT for Cable,
and then you scan and see no channels ...you may need to drop by a big box store or radio shack electronics store to pick up a Qam box.

or maybe the Campground has some to borrow...

we've never had any issue with Qam, or anything needed for Cable at a campground or rv park, so I assume our TVs are built with it - and I suppose that the campground where you are has seen this issue, otherwise they wouldn't make a point of it - what TV make and model do you have?

Our favorite campground just upgraded their cable TV system and our Sieki TV's are not compatible. They are not digital capable. Is that your issue?
Looks like it's time to upgrade TVs or enjoy the campground lol

Had similar issues but like Turnerfam stated we didn't have the booster turned off. On our 2017 Thor it's a small above TV on cable plate. Hard to see since dark in color. Light on cable plate will go off when booster is off. We then changed TV input to cable and did a channel scan.
