ACE steering issues

Ok. So I have a 2015 ACE 30.1 and have been working to correct the steering issues.
1. replace rear sway bar with a larger diameter one.
2. Install a front sway bar as none comes on the unit.
3. Install a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer on the front.
4. This is the most important: have an authorized front end shop tighten the steering gear box.
I did all 4 steps and can run down the road with one finger. loose steering is gone and most sway is gone. steering is almost self centering now.

Seems like a lot but remember the cost of this motor home compared to others. It is a more economical buy.

I believe your chassis did have both a front and rear sway bar when delivered by Ford. Wonder where they went?

Did you not have the front wheels aligned too?

I have a 2018 ACE 29.4 and it was equipped with front and rear sway bars. Other than the slight roll from side to side on sharp corners, it handles relatively well. From day 1 I could easily drive single handed without much concern. I am planning on adding the Safe T Plus primarily for safety reasons. Glad you got yours to a point you are comfortable, safe travels.

Our 2015 ACE 30.1 came with front and rear sway bars but only a front trac-bar. Had the front end aligned and that helped a lot then did the CHF front and rear and that helped a lot more. I do think about adding a rear trac-bar but just haven't got around to spending the money when we don't do a lot of long trips. Jim.
