HDMI jack

I have a 2017 Four Winds 31W. On the dash near the radio is a HDMI jack. Does anyone know what this is for? I am thinking it goes to the front bunk TV, since there is a HDMI cable coming out of the TV, but not sure.
In another thread I had read its to mirrow your phone to the radio.????

On mine (Palazzo 33.3) there is a USB/HDMI combo plug, and that goes to the actual radio. The radio has video playback function.

On my 2015 Challenger, the HDMI jack is used to share a smartphone display with the stereo system LCD display. There is a special cable required to do this that did not come with my coach. The main benefit is displaying google map directions onto the dash LCD screen.

Depending on your TV ... an HDMI jack will be on the side panel, usually, and often another on the back next to the RCA jacks, etc.
there is usually 2-3 of them...depending on which one you use...when you go to source on your tv, you will have options of HDMI 1,2,3 choose the appropriate one...often on the HDMI jack, they are not labeled, so it may be a search n find situation !

Check the cabinets near where your TV is usually that is where the other end of the cable can be found--along with the power to the antenna amplifier.

In our Axis its in a kitchen cabinet right next to the TV.

That's where you can connect a DVD player or game controller. There is usually an 110v outlet in that cabinet also.

We just purchased a 2018 ACE 30.4. Nobody at the dealership knew what the HDMI plug next to the bed is for?

The one next to the bed is probably a charging outlet, we have two in our coach.

I don't think it's for charging. There are two USB ports right next to it. Maybe it's connected to the back TV for a DVD player???

We have a 2017 Chateau 31W and the HDMI cable from the cabover TV comes out in the overhead cabinet just behind the passenger seat where the antenna amplifier button and power plug are.

Probably the Radio...

I am guessing the ports you are looking at are for the Radio. If you have the Axxera (sorry if I misspelled it here), it does "screen mirroring" from your phone to the screen allowing you to view your screen on the radio and interact with it.

For me, it took a while to get working because I eventually found out that they forgot to connect the ports on the back of the dash to the radio, the cables were just hanging there. Once I was able to get those plugged in, I was able to connect my phone and use it for Google Maps. I do not actually use it any more, I have a tablet on my dash that I use for things like that now.

Hope that helps.

The Axxera has a 'dual mirror' function. You can use navigation on your phone, plug it into that HDMI jack and display on the radio screen. It does require a special cable, got one at Amazon, it was in the $20 to $25 dollar range as I recall.

There is an hdmi cord in the cabinet above the fridge. Not for the cab over tv. I know where that one is. Also. Not for bedroom. Seems random. Thoughts? 2018 freedom elite
