Heated Holding Tanks

I recently purchased a 2017 Miramar. It is reported to have heated holding tanks. Can anyone explain how these work. Do I need to do something to make them function?
:confused

Thanks

There should be a switch on the wall panel labeled tank heaters. Turn them on and the pads will heat the tanks. The pads are just stuck onto the bottoms of the tanks. You can open the tank compartments and feel them warm.

Many forum member report that tank pads are falling down (Mine was too). You can used some sort of epoxy/glue or gorilla tape to hold in place.

They are basically a 12 volt heating pad glued to the bottom of the tanks. A quick look underneath will confirm that you have them.

Thanks for the help but I do not have a switch on the board. I am assuming that the holding tanks are located in an area that is somewhat heated when the heater comes on rather than an actual heating pad on the tanks.

If you look at the current specifications for all Thor coaches above 30 ft -- all have enclosed tanks that are heated by the coach's heater. Of course that means the coach;s propane heater must be on to protect the tanks.

I have a Class C 32'. It has the heating pads on the tanks. Not propane.
