If you are talking about the coach furnace, it is propane required. It also uses 12v dc to operate to furnace. If you want to only use an electric coach heater, some roof air conditioners have a heat pump setting that uses electricity to operate. The draw back to the heat pump is that they usually only operate above 40 degrees. Anything below that triggers the furnace to operate. My roof air has a heat pump option and it works well. I also use a plug in electric heater with either shore power or generator power to save my propane use.
