Anybody tried this Hamilton Beach? It looks a bit more flexible but I can't find a rating.

I love coffee, I use a myjo coffee maker it takes just a bit of propane from the stove to heat water and a little bit of man power for a perfect cup. I’ve used it with k cups, with regular ground in the reusable filter and instant in that same filter. The regular ground didn’t work as well as I would have liked, as it was messy.

No, but Hamilton Beach was also recommended in one of the posts in the thread in other forum. We decided to go with the smallest we could get because space is so important to us. Durability is my only concern now since it works good enough.

I don’t want to run the AC! I would just like to have the ability to run a large fan! I have a small inverter that plugs into the power port in the cab that allows me to use a 10” fan there but in the back bed room all I have is two 5” fans that plug into the USB ports.

If you wire the inverter directly to the house batteries, it will work better and - depending on where you mount it, you might be able to run a short extension cord towards the back and use the 10” fan.

Here is a video of the two best (that I have seen) DC fans out there. I have the O2 and I would not be surprised if you do to. As you will see in the video the O2 draws half the watts on direct DC power as it does on AC thru an inverter.

I built a 10’ double #16 wire to run from my power port upfront to my 10” fan in the back. That way I do not have to run it on DC power thru the inverter and it uses half the wattage.

We have two of the older battery-powered 10" O2 fans and like them. They are quiet and move enough air for their size. So far we've gotten multiple nights from the 8 X D-size batteries.

So add the fan to the list.... Watts and how many hours in a day for each item, and how long between 'recharge'...
If something doesn't list watts, then voltage (12v or 110v) and amps will work.

Cute! I may have to go look for one of those.
I've been using a 5-Cup Mr. Coffee, but can see how something like the Keurig or Chulux could be better when boondocking.
Thanx for the info,

Oneilkeys,

For using a small inverter hooked up directly to the batteries, assuming they are under one of the steps on your rig, how do you work out the wires coming from under the step?

thanks,

- karen

I have found most places are very reluctant to install an inverter if they didn't sell rig or MFG it
