Inverter While Stored

We have had our Thor in open storage for the past year and just upgraded to an enclosed spot with electricity. My question, does the inverter need to be turned on while stored and plugged into electricity or do we just need to make sure the house batteries are disengaged?

No, inverter off. Inverters just power the outlets / frig.

But the store switch by the door needs to be ON in order to charge the batteries.

you can leave the Inverter off, if you wish, though all it's doing while 'on' is passing thru 120v shore power to the main breaker panel... it won't hurt anything if left on.

now, though, you want to leave ON the Charger, since it's what is keeping the House batteries maintained while in storage, and even the Chassis batteries as well.

there's absolutely NO need to disconnect, or turn OFF, the 12v systems, or House batteries, because you have shore power, and battery charging(trickle charging, basically)

On our RV, the inverter supplies 120vac only to the entertainment system outlets, the TV's, where the DVD player has an outlet in a cabinet near a TV, etc, but not anything on our 120vac breaker panel.
The inverter has its own reset breaker on it, a pop out button type.
It draws off the 12vdc power board if plugged to shore power, or while Generator is running, via the converter.
If not those power sources, from the coach batteries, if the "use" switched to "use" position.

No reason for the inverter to be left on, unless curious to see if TV is still working.

If you store with it plugged to shore power, leave the use/store switch on use, so it maintains your coach batteries charge, and with a good working battery isolator relay module system, chassis battery maintained at the same time.

I always turn the inverter off as the typical covered storage outlet is very low amperage per unit. The 120V power passes through with it off. That way if the breaker trips, when it comes back on your charger will not draw so much powerr it trips it again.

I do the same as a bit of load on the inverter and if the battery charger ramped up it could easily trip a 15amp circuit breaker
