Sliding Pantry Removal

OK I'm stumped. The large sliding pantry has a rail at the top that is the same as the rails on the drawers. No problem with this.

There is are two large rails in the center of the bottom of the pantry. This is the problem. Where are the rail slide/lock releases for these rails?

While loading up for our trip this weekend my wife dropped something inside the pantry cabinet and I can get the pantry to come out to remove the item. It isn't causing a problem at this time but I would like to remove the item before too long.

I was wondering the same thing about ours a while back..... for me jsut as a future reference thing.
This was when i was trying to determine the best way to add a secondary latch to keep the panty in place while underway

I couldn't find the release either

I pretty much decided that if this ever happens, I'll have to go at it by deconstructing the cabinets. There's a dead panel under the fridge where the furnace is in mine, I figured I'd likely have to go through there or deconstruct the shower panels.

Secondary latch will be added shortly. My pantry came open twice on this trip. Both times while making left turns. Once exiting a rest area and the other while entering the interstate after a fuel stop.

My Hurricane was delivered with a hole in the cabinet caused by the slider.

What design are the primary latches for the panty? I am curious because we haven't had a problem with ours, but if the ones that are failing are a sliding bolt that goes into a drilled old at the bottom side of the panty front, that is what we have.

Sent an inquiry to Thor CS asking how the pantry is removed and the initial response was release the locks on the 2 top slide rails. Two problems with that response. First, on my Challenger there is only one top slide rails and second they didn't address how to release the bottom slide rails. I responded that the response received was inadequate and I explained why.

Today I received a response from Ron Baker and was told that the bottom shelf of the pantry is screwed in place. That shelf must be removed and the after releasing the top slide rail lock the drawer must be unscrewed from the bottom rails to be removed.

Ron Baker attached an engineering drawing of the pantry and since it is copyright protected I have asked permission to post the drawing on the forum since there are others asking the same question. If/when I received permission (per the copyright notice on the drawing) I will post a copy.

Looks like a future mod is going to be to find and install some rails with releasable locks to replace the ones installed by Thor.
