Picking up our new 2019 Challenger 37yt

We are picking up our first motorhome this Saturday. We are coming from a 44' fifth wheel. Any tips or tricks from others with a Challenger?

Good luck on your purchase. Buying a new coach is like buying a lottery ticket. You may win and have zero quality issues. More than likely, you wont. Do a thorough inspection, not a walk thru, at closing. Take a flashlight and a notebook and document every single defect. Open all the cabinets, storage bins and take out the drawers. Right every thing down and have the dealer put it in writing that they will repair everything before you give them a nickel. If the person doing the walk thru doesn't know how to operate something, leave. Don't buy from that dealer. Best wishes.

..."If the person doing the walk thru doesn't know how to operate something"...

So true!!! I would immediately ask him/she/it to send someone out that knows more about this model. Same scenario for the fist time they try to run a line crap on you.

Welcome and congrats on the Challenger.

One of the first things you will need to do is sanitize the fresh water system. You might want to consider this mod while you are sanitizing the system.

I would suggest running water at the sinks, the toilets, and the shower, and check for leaks. I would also spray water on the windshield and run the wipers at high speed. Check the auto leveling system with a bubble level to ensure it is properly calibrated. Check the stove to ensure it is level. Run the generator under load for around 10 minutes. Finally, I'd go under your new Challenger with a flashlight and check for problems (I found a broken weld on the exhaust pipe).

Welcome to our little corner of things!
The delivery of your new RV should be as thorough as possible.
(Mine took four hours!)
Make sure that they operate EVERY system on the RV. Make sure that you understand the operation of each system. Don't let them rush you. Take your time, ask LOTS of questions (Okay: lots, and lots, and lots...)
Take notes, take videos, even use a voice recorder if you have to.
Every system should be check for proper functioning, and every aspect of the coach must pass muster for appearance...
If things are found that need fixing: see if they'll fix it right then and there.
(Our dealership did...)

Good luck! Please let us know how it all goes!

Before you pass the check...they will jump through hoops for you. After you pass the check...they walk away and never look back. This is your only point to negotiate excellent service. Don't close the deal on a promise. They will fix things on the spot if you make it a "deal breaker". Good luck...an good luck trying to sleep Friday night!!

My dealer let us stay in there version of a campground. We spent two nights. Unhooked and hooked up several times. Went and got gas. It was a little cool at night so we ran the heater. Took showers.... everything you would do if you were camping. We did find some issues. The dealer would stop by in the morning and we would give them the list of things that needed attention. Did we find everything..no. But we found almost everything. We also had them fill our propane before we drove off.

Yes it was. We even cleaned our fresh water tank and they helped us.

They've got a real good thing going on down there! In 2017: we considered flying down to shop for our Outlaw...
But then we got stupid, and bought locally!

The people that were next to us came in to DFW. The dealer picked them up and gave them a car to use. The best buying experience l ever had.

Yeah I have heard lots of good things about MHSRV. Next time im in the market I would think about driving down that way if they have what I want (for the price I want).

The guy that was next to me did the entire transaction over the phone. Never looked at it before the day MHSRV picked him up from the airport.
