Awning Issues

Just took delivery of a 2022 Thor Axis 24.1…..used the awning once and the entire awning bracket pulled loose from the motorhome. Warranty repaired with pop rivets, opened twice and pop rivets pulled out. Poor design for an awning…any suggestions?

We have a 2021 Axis 24.1 and have had no issues with the awning. I presume the dealer did the repair that failed. If so, I would suggest contacting the Thor Help line. I have found them reasonably helpful in warranty claims.

We had a friend that had an awning that had pulled out like that. The independent RV repair facility had injected a filler behind the wall and installed new screws. They told him that the filler was light and cures hard and will not fail. It has never failed again. Rivets are not always the answer, but a quick cheep fix.
