Lectric bike in storage bays

Does anyone have a Lectric foldable bike that they keep in the storage bay of a Class A? I’m curious if foldable bikes would fit in there.

Well, it is barely a Class A at 25.5' but I can just squeeze my Lectric bike in the aft storage compartment using the driver's side opening.

Storage bay

I have a 35.2 and I carry 2 lectric bikes. I carry them on the driver side in 2 different compartments. I just have to make sure I load and unload with slides
in. Much easier for and old guy that way. Enjoy.

We fit them in our bays. Scratched 1 so buying bike rack, they are too expensive for the bouncing around. Also bought a double receive to handle toad and bike rack mounted on rear of rig.

Make sure you also get a great locking system for those bikes. They are on a priority list for thefts when no one is around.

Good advice. Lock it up always. My ebike and carrier were stolen right off the hitch when I stopped for gas and to walk the dogs in TN. The thief had to be surprised though because I had the battery inside the Rv. Now, I put my dinette table down and seat belt my new folding fat tire e-bike inside when I’m traveling along with the dog carrier/stroller. Click image for larger version

I’m thinking of getting a pair of folding e-bikes. Plan would be to store them in the back of my toad, a 4 door Jeep Wrangler. Seems like it would be a lot easier loading/unloading than putting them in the basement.

This rack locks in the hitch! Many family members have ordered. Quick setup

Caution: The description says the carrier isn’t for RVs.

“NOT FOR: Class B vehicles (RVs, Motorhomes), front of vehicle, vehicle being towed, 5th wheel or trailer, or 1 1/4" hitch.”

Add says "Not for RV" but I do not see a problem with putting the rack on the Toad need to be sure everything is securely locked up.

I have a Bicycle rack that carries four bicycles in order to prevent rattling around the rack was mounted with bolts into the pin hole. I replaced the hex head bolts with Alen head cap screws just to make it harder to steal. Not many thieves carry an Alan wrench that size. Of course, the Bikes and wheels were chained to the rack as well. While the thieves would be able to unbolt the rack using a pipe wrench, they would still need to be able to cart off 200 or so pounds of rack and 4 bicycles all at once or spend another 10 - 15 cutting all the chains to get small enough bits to carry off.

Paul
Another note, the city of Cedar Rapids has set up a "free" e-bike and e-Scooter system people are expected to use them to get from point "A" to point "B" and leave them in a charging rack at point "B". The problem is that people take the scooter or bike beyond the limits, supposed to be used in the downtown area only, ride till the battery runs out and just drop it wherever the battery dies. People even steal free stuff.
