Wheel well not protected

Good evening! First post here. My family just purchased a slightly used Thor Freedom Elite 30FE. We love the floorplan, and are excited to explore the country.
I noticed this evening while installing my tire covers, that the wheel wells seem to be unprotected. There is no liner, and I can physically see the rough edge of the plastic and interior wall. There doesn't seem to be any water damage, but I'm concerned that this is a weak point.
Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, what did you do to remedy?
Thanks!
-Matt

I think you'll find that they are all that way. I first thought it was very shotty...but it's working ok.
After I had a blowout on one of my outer rear tires and saw the damage done I recon it's actually better this way...less to get ripped off or damaged.

Welcome to the site.

If you are concerned go to a home improvement store, pick up a can of Flex Seal (no really) and coat the inside wheelwells. The stuff is great (and is similar in consistency to what automakers put in car wheelwells).

blw2,
Thanks for the info that this isn't out of the ordinary.

JamieGeek,
Great advice. I'll probably spray a sealant after I use some tape to close the gaps.
