It seems to me that we are talking interstate commerce and that is solely the purview of the federal government. But however you look at it, folks that enjoy RVs need to remember these states and not spend our money in them.

Here’s another good article. You can bring in used MH with 7500 or more miles in and register, but that will ice out all the dealerships that sell new. Looks like the CA market will be basically all used. Not to mention all the like sized vehicles.
I don’t know much about burgeoning RV chassis technology, but maybe that’s why Thor is testing that hybrid class A.

I only go to the "Jefferson" part of California and only 395. I can go from Vegas to Reno and not buy fuel in California. Sure happy with our move to Norther Idaho. The only bad part is trying to spell Coeur d Alene correctly.

I read about that yesterday and it gave me encouragement for when the wife and I have to hang up the keys because of age, etc. It tells me there is going to be a demand for used motorhomes with over 7500 miles on them in the near future. Recently motorhome sales as well as value have plummeted but this could turn that around.

It also appears that the Ford F53 Chassis will continue to be made available since it is a gasoline engine and Ford does have the ZEV credits and they can continue to make that chassis available for motor homes. Right now it will be hitting the diesel chassis(Freightliner and Spartan) that are used in the Super C and diesel Class A coaches. They do say there is an exemption for emergency vehicles. The EPA seems to be on the side of the RV Industry since they are saying that most RV's are not driven that much each year to contribute to the bad air quality like heavy duty trucks being driven on a daily basis.

I just got a call from the guy that sold us our coach. He is asking all his old clients to make offers on what they have in stock. Trying to move everything new off the lot before the new laws in Washington take effect. They will send new units out of state in 2025 and the used pricing will increase.

Looks like at least Oregon is considering NOT following California's lead due to projected economic hardship... pushing the adoption to at least 2026. See RV Miles YouTube channel.
