Lug wrench and jack on Thor freedom Elite 26 HE
Ok I give up I can’t find the wheel simulator removal tool or any kind of lug Wrench! I want to install Tireminder transmitters and it’s hard without removing the wheel simulator or adding valve stem extenders. Anyone ever have this issue with there Thor Freedom Elite? Thanks 100 percent boogie and learning every day!...lol

That is because there isn't one. NAPA might stock one.

Well, there won't be a lug wrench or jack but there should be a tool for removing the lug nuts for the wheel simulators. Call Thor if you don't have one. If you have OEM (Ford) Wheel Simulators or even aftermarket (Thor provided DICOR) simulators the tool should have been included with your owners packet when you took delivery. I have used a large socket on my simulators as well.

Not so for the 350/450 chassis.

On our Axis I can just pry them off with a flat head screw driver (ours is an E-350). Just have to be careful that you don't damage them.
Put them back on with a rubber mallet.

Yep big long screw driver. I also purchased a hub cap remover. Has a flat end with a curved handle (Makes it much easier to pop off) and a rubber mallet build in the other side to reinstall them.

Don’t think the Freedom Elite wheel simulators are held on by false lug nuts. Ours weren’t anyway. They are just plain old fashioned hub caps. They just pry off and then go back on with a rubber mallet. I couldn’t put my tpms senders on even without the covers. Finally replaced my valve stems with proper dally valves and no more problems of any sort. Good luck.

They are hubcaps. I've had them off my 26B which is basically the same unit.

Yes they are hubcaps, but I have a question for you. I can install the front and outside dual monitors but how does anyone reach in to install the inside dual, long extender?

I just added TPMS to my 2017 Axis (E450 chassis so same as C class). I tried to used a 2 inch metal extention on the OEM setup but when you go to add some air they would twist then leak plus stood out kinda far and moved around (too much weight at the end of the extention know). So I was afraid to go on a trip like this.
So I just added the Dicor valve extensions on Monday (on Amazon). Works great but it takes some time to figure out how to route the lines when you install, which lug nut to use as an anchor them and making them line up with the holes in the wheel covers.
You have to bend the bracket some to make them fit correctly but I love them so far. Very solid, I can add air without anything coming loose. They dont stick out too farm.

Just pry them off with a big screw driver. You’ll hear all sort of opinions about valve extenders and TPMS. My luck with extension is quite poor. My personal solution, once and for all, is dually valves. These are just long metal stems designed for dual wheels. It puts both valves on the outside for super easy servicing. Unfortunately, they cost about $110 and require removing and remounting the tires from the wheels. Costs about another $100 to have a tire place do it for you. Expensive but with these and TPMS you’ll travel with much peace of mind.

Those are pretty much the same ones I had on the Challenger. Worked great for 5 years.

Thanks. I did find some extenders on Amazon at the recommendation of a local Freightliner shop that will be in Saturday. We head out in 2 weeks for a 3 week loop to check out the RV.

One of these makes simulator removal and reinstall very easy. Good addition to the tool box.
