Miramar gas tank filler

Our new Miramar gas tank filler is in the rear which is convenient, but I have a really hard time getting the gas to pump into it. The way it is positioned makes it hard for the gas handle spring to connect to the filler neck. To pump gas I have to hold the handle spring up with my fingers to get the gas to go in. Its a real pain.
Any info will help.

Thanks

Poorly designed, as I have the same issue with my Miramar. You will need to force the nozzle into the filler, which overtime is not as hard. Iíve also filled from other vendors pumps, surprisingly the nozzle designs are not identical.

I have not had any problem at all with my Miramar. It could be the type of fuel nozzles that are being used by the station or required in the state where you fuel. I own a gas station and in Iowa all the nozzles work perfectly well in the Miramar that I have used.

We live in California and sometimes it is hard to fill our car and truck. I guess the nozzles are different. I was wondering if there is something to extend the gas tank filler neck.
Thanks

That explains it. California has some unusual regulations regarding gas fills. Anything you could do to change that would probably not be legal.

I have not had any issues putting gas into my Miramar. I also suspect that it has to do with the California gas pumps. Just another reason to stay out of CA.
