New paint job?

I want to paint Thor ACE 29.3 Y2018!
Every time I see the same type of swirly tan, brown on the side of other class A rvís, and it looks exactly like mineÖ.I wonder how much it would cost to get a real nice paint job of a darker color and no swirls, curls or streaks.
Has anyone ventured out to explore this?

There was a member that had a Hurricane painted a few years ago.

Wow. What a difference in price. Wrapped. Not a bad idea.
What does 2i5h mean?

Or for a few hundred dollars - just have all your friends and family hang out the windows with multi-colored spray paint cans while you're at highway speed......

That was supposed to be
'With'.

And,
For scoffing/harumphing types:
https://speedokote.com/wa3959-gm-usa...er-pick-speed/
$$635 per gallon

This is mid quality paint.
Add mid primer at $180
Add top coat $170
Add $90 other chemicals, etc.

100hrs labor at $200

Mediocre.

But... the difference in price of decals vs FBP at retail is between $10k and $15k... maybe a little more for an entry level large class A. How does the manufacturer do top notch paint for so much cheaper? And it's definitely not an Earl Sheib job!

They're not top notch.
They're adequate.
From scratch, no disassembly/stripping.
Assembly line, not custom time slot.

Double the $15k for disassembly and reassembly, gelcoat fixes, glass removal.

Wow! That looks fantastic! Done by the pros too. $15k for that detail was a bargain!

To the OP's angle, do you think it would have been less than $15k if it had no swirls? Also OP has 30' RV so maybe $10 - 12k is a valid window.

That really was a nice job for $15k

And add to the dismay of the damn duck is the fact that the buying power of a $1 has dramatically increased in US due to buyers willingness to accept remorse. I think for the Duck, it is a dangerous thing for some folks to walk around with money.

My neighborhood association embraces my RV as it is always waxed, but somehow me thinks with that paint job waxed or not, I would get served. They served a neighbor of mine about 6 houses down because his RV was an eyesore to most that would view, not to mention it was technically parked illegal.

But across the street we have a neighbor with a pink Lexus I have to walk to the mailbox with shades on it is so bright.

I showed that transformation to my "accountant" sitting beside me... I winked and nodded yes. She shook her head... uh, no.

Oh I have better truths, if you calculate the future value and pit it alongside the ROI savings from being able to reduce wax material costs and labor in half / year, this investment is a must do; particularly if you are thinking about the family's financial stability.

The THIRD screwing comes when motorhome travelers who chose the "cheaper" dis-advantage plans... when they discover a whole new Hell of out-of-network headaches.

Just don't get sick or injured when you're out of state getting that sweet paint job done!!
