Another water filter question?

Does anyone know if the 2017 ACE 30.3 comes with a water filter installed? I purchased an inline filter for our new ACE, made sure it was sufficiently flushed with clean water and then hooked it up to my city water port. After using a couple of gallons, we got a nasty carbon odor and taste in the water. It made me wonder if there might have already been a filter installed that needed to be flushed as well. If there is one installed, does anyone know where it is?

Not sure about your unit, however, all carbon filters require a flushing of usually 10-20 gallons to improve quality before use. It is usually on the filter label. Most people do not read the label carefully....

Steve, I ran more than that through the filter I purchased and hooked up to the city water supply. The water tasted fine the first night we were out and then it got the bad taste and odor. That made me wonder if maybe there was already another filter pre-installed that maybe had not been flushed. I think maybe the good tasting water might have been what was still in the lines from the fresh water supply before hooking up to the city water. Going out again in a few days. Maybe I can crack the code on it then.

I have a class C Chateau. My water filter is under my bed, but is only in use if I'm using my water pump to pull from my holding tank. If hooked up to city water, my cabin water filter isn't in use, as there are some check valves that shut the water off from my holding tank/pump/filter. I use an inline filter when I'm hooked up to city water. I never had it smell or anything after using it however.
