I do not tow a car and I normally do not run the generator So that may be why I can get an average MPG of 10+ over what you get. We Made a run from Minnesota to Port Isabell Texas then back up to Seattle and our average was 10 MPG
My wife is asking how we can take her car with us so I suppose we will be getting lower MPG when we start doing that. I just need to make up my mind on how to pull the car. Her car can not be flat towed. I'm open for Ides on towing.
