Norcold Fridge and Cold weather

Getting ready to go south. The temps have been in the 20's and 30's. My Norcold fridge is not cooling in the refrigerator compartment Very well on AC. It works fine on Propane. Could it be it is so cold outside that the electric heating element can't get hot enough on AC? Just a thought. I useds it on propane to get it cold and then switched to electric for the past 2 or 3 days and this morning the fridge compartment is not very cold temp outside was 26 deg F. Any suggestions. All help and comments appreciated.

I don't know...
But if it gets cold enough outside: just throw the beer into the snowbanks, and turn the 'Fridge off!

.Effects of Freezing Temperatures on Refrigerator Operation A gas absorption refrigerator is not designed to operate in freezing temperatures. If the refrigerator is not equipped for low temperature operation, and if the cooling system of the refrigerator is exposed to temperatures of 32° F. or lower for an extended period of time, the refrigerator operation may be disrupted. The refrigerator operation will resume when the cooling system of the refrigerator warms sufficiently. If the refrigerator is equipped for low temperature operation, the refrigerator will operate in temperatures down to 0° F.Disrupted operation of the refrigerator, due to extended exposure to temperatures of 32° F. or lower, and any costs incurred to warm the cooling system of the refrigerator are not covered by the Norcold limited warranty.

So what you're saying; is that you have to warm up: in order to cool down...

Having spent over 10 years of my life trying to survive the cold in Limestone, ME and Grand Forks, ND, I am familiar with the limitations of animals and machinery in the cold. I am now learning how to survive 4 months of 95+ temperatures a year.

No cold weather kit

The Fridge does not have a cold weather kit installed, so I put a 100 watt light bulb in the outside compartment in hopes that the heat from the bulb will warme the fridge enough to keep contents cool until we get to warmer country. Will have to get a cold weather kit.

I've got a hunting buddy who retired to San Antonio. He did mention that he was happy when the thermometer finally started dropping...
