Norcold Storage Latch

We have a Norcold Polar 7 refrigerator in our 2020 ACE. I would like to know what the storage latch looks like that allows to secure the doors but also keep them slightly open while in storage or driving when the fridge is off.

The manual mentions them but shoes no picture or part number. I contacted the manufacturer but never got a reply.

If one of you has that model and can post a picture or P/N that would be great. Not interested in using any bungee cords or other makeshift devices.

Thanks

I bought a generic product on Amazon to do that but it was junk and I threw it away. My Norcold latches work great keeping the doors closed. When in storage I drape a face towel sizes rag from the freezer to the fridge compartment near the hinges. Does the job.

You wanna buy one and tell us how it works?

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Norcold-6...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

Not sure I follow why you need or how you plan to use?

When I store my fridge it is off and 100% dry. What's wrong with simply shutting door when in storage? I do leave it open after a trip to dry / air out, but I just leave the door open for few hours, what am I missing?

"When driving and fridge is off "
.... Why would your fridge be off on a trip? And if it has to be off; why would you want the door open? I have the opposite concern, when driving I wish to make sure the store is firmly closed, and if so; usually it will not re-open, but I do wish it was stronger. If you have a lot of weight on the door (coke cans / water bottles etc.) and have a hard turn it may pop open

Note: I would verify the part number with Norcold. If they can't verify or can't provide you with what you need for your model, I would avoid the purchase altogether. There must be a reason. I have found Norcold easy to reach and talk to.

The below is not Norcold but if all you wanting is to prop door open, it is cheap and probably a safer option?

Good Luck

I have the Norcold 12VDC-only model in my MH, and can find nothing regarding a way to keep the doors slightly open for storage. My previous MH had a decent storage latch, but this one will require something home-grown. I'm thinking some velcro strips may work.

Here's what I came up with. These bag clips are bendable, to fit flat over the latch pin. They're also the same color, in real life.
