Anyone with Chateau/Four Winds 25V out there?
Greetings.
We are deciding on our first Class C, which will be purchased late 2019/early 2020. We are looking for a short-ish vehicle (no toad) that has a large basement, tall and wide enough to store our two nice road bikes, with the front wheels removed. We absolutely love some of the Sprinter chassis models we've seen but price and maintenance issues will probably stop us from pulling that trigger.
One model that we are SERIOUSLY considering is the 25V. We love the twin/king bed, the nice storage across the entire basement, and the fact that it requires no slides for sleeping.
Being a newer model, it is really hard to find any info on these, other than what the manufacturers and dealers have to say. Hardly unbiased opinions! Do any of you have any experience in owning, or even driving, one of these units? I would appreciate ANY feedback, including other models that we may have overlooked in our early searches.
Thanks!

25V Great Design, but Quality?
We purchased a 2019 Chateau 25V a couple months ago. Overall we really like the design, although the workmanship is so-so. The unit has lots of storage with a huge rear storage compartment and also a number of "hidden" interior storage areas. Also, if you do not need the cab-over for sleeping, it is a huge storage area. We really like the twin/king bed arrangement and that it is not a slideout. The bath is a bit different with very little vanity space to sit items down on, but is functional. When the bath doors are open the rear bed area is separated for the dinette area.
Check the unit very carefully. We have a leak in the slideout, leak in the fresh water tank connection, trim that fell off the walls, interior items (curtain, stink stoppers) missing, latch on an outside compartment missing, damage to the vinyl fooring in 2 spots, lots of loose screws and construction debris, chassis battery failed, house batteries won't reliably start the generator, water stains on the mattresses and seams not sewn completely, headboard separated from the wall, etc.
Bottom line is that we are glad we chose this model, but the build quality is very disappointing.
For the record, this is our third RV.

Thanks so much for the feedback! We are coming to realize that we have very few choices for the twin beds: the 25V, the Axis 24.1 (Class A), or something in the Sprinter chassis. This means, from a $$$ perspective, we have only one real choice.
My wife has already been commenting on how she is going to have to get creative with the lack of vanity space. Apparently, she was right in that observation!
We definitely will keep an eye on the "little things" like that, but I'm already planning on those being there. I'm just hopeful that there aren't any "big things". There are none of these 25V's out there within 300 miles of us here in Michigan, so we are thinking we may have to go far to get one, unless we can order one through a dealership. (I really don't know if you can do that like a new car or not.)
Feel free to add on anything else that you happen to think of later. Would love to hear any and all feedback. Thanks, again!
