Power to rear 7 way plug

I lost 12v power to my road brake system which is fed to toad from RV. It appears it is dead on the RV plug near trailer hitch.
Does anyone know where the fuse should be? I’ve checked ford f53 book but description are not clear as to which fuse.
Anyone know which fuse? Thx Dennis.

Yep, normally part of the Ford factory fuse block.

Do gas class A's come with an owners manual for the chassis like a class C? If so the Ford manual will tell you exactly which fuse is blown. Had to find one for our C that way.

Yes they do but I said earlier it wasn’t clear exactly which one it is. Just trying to narrow down to keep from going through a bunch. Thx.

Those are pretty much the drawings in book.

Just for fun, which location( under dash or engine compartment) and then which fuse box and then which fuse do u guess? One says brake controller but I assume that’s a brake controller in the cab to a trailer. I’m more interested a auxiliary power since powering toad brake buddy in car.
But I’m 68 years old, 600 miles from home, bad back and neck, and can’t see w bifocals in some positions.
Where should I start? That’s my reality and dilemma!!! Thx Dennis.

Start with J12 in the F59 under hood power distribution box. It's a 30amp fuse. These new style fuses can be hard to visually see if they are blown. A test meter or test light would help if you have access to one. You also need to check your electrical cable from the coach to the toad it may have had a wire come loose inside a plug (usually the silver toad end plug) which popped the fuse. I slipped and pulled on the cable and not just the metal ears and caused this same problem.

Thx Mustang. This an actually an F53 chassis, 22000 lb and most likely a 2013 since coach is 2014.
Given that it appears the fuse u point out should equate to fuse 13 in the power distribution box under hood. I’ll start there for sure.
I do have a volt meter and will check continuity on fuse to make sure. Thx again Dennis.

Latest news, I did check the fuses in the power distribution box once I figured out how to get the dawn thing opened!!! Not a lot of ways to get ur head in there to see but I think I finally tried the one that worked. The fuses were all good.

BUT, and that's a big BUT, I did by accident find a wire hanging down behind the left side headlite from a box (forgot name on box) but there was main battery cables coming and going to both house and chassis batteries. I assume it has something to do w the charging system since both are attached.

The wire (10ga) I found came out of a crimped solderless terminal and had a 30amp inline fuse in it. It was attached to the chassis battery terminal on the box. I followed it back across engine compartment to the positive post of battery. So, since I was almost tool less I bought a piece of 10 ga wire and just ran it across direct to the battery terminal which I had tools to fit. Once home and tool boxes full of tools I will remove cable from box, crimp new eyelet on, and reattach where it was.

I checked w a volt meter and it appears I have power again at back of coach. Once I hook up car I'll know for sure. Thx, Dennis.

This pin is for 12 volt power...it's not the brake controller pinout. Anyone know where it is fused. I cannot find it listed in the diagrams.

No 12 volt power to toad Jeep

Hello,

I have a 2019 Windsport 27b/29M.
Can somebody help me where the Fuse is for 12v power to hitch output? It did work and I blew the fuse. I have been in the Fuse box on the F53 firewall checked Fuse 12,13,17 all seem to be fine even changed out Maxxi Fuse 12 for fun. Is there different fuse could it be?
Thanks!

Should be noted in your manual,

Are you inside the cabin or under the hood? Two fuse boxes under the hood and it should be in one of them

F53 inside fuse panel

I found the 2 fuse boxes under the hood they all seem good. I'm looking for the inside fuse panel and not the power distribution box (under the hood). I am sure the inside fuse box is to the left of the steering column and have crawled under twice now with no joy!
Do I need to remove a panel from the top of the dash? I did have good 12v power to the hitch, but blew the fuse...and cant find it still.....

What was the gauge of the wire? I may have to do the same thing on my 2019 Thor Challenger 37FH. No +12VDC at Hitch Jack pin/blade at the 1:00 o'clock position, #4 I believe in the pin out diagram. Needing to power a batter charger and 12V feed for braking system.

power to 7 way plug

With the Easter Holiday weekend, I had to put my research on hold. I am off work Monday, so I will be back at early Monday morning.

I will need to read back through the posts to see where to look for the correct fuse box; the one under the hood, or the one under the dashboard at the driver side.

No 12V power at hitch connector, 2018 Thor Challenger F53 Chassis

Off work today for long holiday weekend. Checked the power distribution box under hood. Anything marked trailer tow, I checked.#6, 12, 13, 15. All tested with good continuity.

Looked at the battery positive post to trace any wire for inline fusses before entering a wire loom. no luck. I did not look at the inside fuse box under dash, driver side.

Volt meter test at 7-way pin at the 1 o'clock position is showing zero volts DC. Purchased a new umbilical cable and checked the pin out twice, along with the towed vehicle 6-way pin adaptor. Have battery charger and supplemental braking system to support with the 12v feed from RV. Prepping RV and new towed vehicle for several trips this season.

Any ideas and reconditions are most welcomed.
