Propane adapter question

I have a 31W Chareau 2020. The propane tank has the setup that I can hook up an auxiliary propane accessory like a grill or a fire pit. My question is whether the propane tank is set up for using an additional propane tank when my on board tank is empty, or to use instead of the on board tank. I was looking at the t adapter to add to on board tank so I can use an additional propane tank instead of having to break camp to have my tank filled when I am camping for long periods of time. Would coach schematics show me this? Does anyone have an answer to this question?

Depends on your adapter: If it looks like this:

The answer is yes, you can extend your stay with a portable tank.

The short answer is no. The fitting installed for a grill is AFTER the regulator (11 inches of water pressure). The Stay-A-While hookup is BEFORE the pressure regulator (37 to 250 psi depending on temperature)
