Smile Purchasing a 2012 Freedom Elite 21C

This will be my first motorhome and looking forward to the experience. I have hauled horses for the last 10 years and I am quite comfortable driving the 24ft Motorhome or is it a motor coach? Any hints that can be shared. It is an E350 Ford Engine. I am looking forward to camping in style with my horses. No MORE potty in the woods!!!!!

We love ours and the bathroom is like a Kings throne especially at the fireworks last week when everyone else was using porta potties. Have fun and safe travels.

OH Yes, I did it!

I bought the 2012 Freedom Elite on Thursday and will be able to pick it up in about 10 days. There are some minor repairs that they are doing and I am trying to be patient! This will give me time to do some shopping for our home away from home! Always bought pillows and sheets, Winegard Carryout G2, a couple of small folding tables, holding tank deodorant and a water entry elbow. Any suggestions on what is mandatory to have.

I don't know what Axis has in it but I took one out of the coach and went to the local automotive store and covered all the amps I needed I think 5, 15 and 30's. May never need but who knows on an RV. Our Microwave went out last trip and I found out they actually make Micros for RVs but I was fortunate and had ours fixed for $40 bucks, something had vibrated loose. It was those rough Louisiana roads west on New Orleans

Congratulations. Sounds fun.

If pulling a horse trailer, did you check receiver and tow rating? Some earlier models had 3,500-pound receivers. Don't know about yours or what rating you may need.

Since you pull a trailer, you probably already have a small tool box..we have carried one with us for # years...super glue..velcro...a small fan you can plug in if you need a little extra breeze at night...
leveling blocks, make sure your sewer hose hooks up properly (when you take delivery...have them show you how to do that) ..
rv rated toilet paper...in addition to all the obvious !!

have fun !

I can add...
A good flashlight, folding shovel, 3 or 5 gal. jug for extra water, a water thief thingy so you can use faucets that are not threaded, top of stove percolator coffee pot....
AND if your coach has a real gas oven...toaster oven size cookie sheet and a baking mat cut down to size for those morning biskits!

First aid kit, bug repellents, fly swatters, suntan lotion, ice cube trays, dish soap, kitchen towels, utensils, in other words duplicate your house.

Smile OH Yes, I did it!

Thank you ALL for your suggestions and yes I have taken them all to heart. Some of the things suggested I already had from camping all these years, but lots of new stuff to buy. Having a great time.

Hoping to get the motor home early next week.
