2012 ACE 29.2 remove and replace gray tank

Has anyone had any experience pulling the gray tank from this model? I have a leak just inside of the tank gate valve sat the point where the drain pipe attaches to the tank. I tried a few shots of flex seal and that took care of the leak for a couple of years but now the leak is back and needs a more permanent repair.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Fred C.

Is it a separate drain pipe attached to the tank outlet that's leaking or the molded in tank outlet has a leak where it joins the tank?

How would removing the tank help fix a leak in the discharge piping? In my 2016 ACE the gray tank is almost unremovable.

It is hard to say as I can't get close enough to get a good look at it. I believe it is where the outlet joins the pipe to the gate valve.

There should be some way to remove and replace all of the tanks without tearing the coach apart.

The tank is held up by hardware that can be released after disonnecting the drain/vent pipes from the shower and kitchen sink. Both of these connection points are accessible from within the coach. I can unhook the gate valve from the pipping and with all of these disconnected, the tank should slide out through the compartment door. The point at which the leak appears would still be attached to the tank when it comes out, so then I could attempt a repair.
