R&R Trailers, Three Rivers, MI...Any Opinions?

Long story short (yeah, right), the 16' car hauler I bought for the Jeep (sold the Jeep) will not work for the new XT5. Selling the 16 footer and buying an 18' aluminum with dovetail. One of our members at the Sunshine Rally this year had one of these pulling a Mustang. I didn't get a chance to look closely at it but it seemed well made and pricing was great. Anyone with one of these or knows this manufacturer...please feel free to share your experience. They have a great deal going through end of year which include a few free upgrades. Thanks! Also, anyone looking for a new 16' steel car hauler with wood floor (Hybrid)...I got a great deal for you. I'll post it in the "For Sale" area soon.

I purchased an R&R Snowmobile Trailer almost 3 years ago. I ordered the 7516 PowerSports Deluxe and had it customized with features I wanted. It is 21'L x 7.5W and I use it to haul three snowmobiles and also my CanAm Spyder.

It was a little pricey when it was all said and done with my upgrades..... about $9300 before tax and registration..... but the quality was excellent and they were easy to work with during the entire process. I also had a couple small warranty claims and they sent me the parts without any issues at all so they're customer service is very good as well.

I had did a lot of research before I bough it. I was coming of a steel United Trailer and said I would never buy a steel trailer again. R&R came highly recommended by a lot of people. The downside was I had to drive about 6 1/2 hours one way to pick it up.

800 miles one way to Michigan from here. I've done it 4 times now...2 Cadillacs, one Chevy van and a trip to Wakarusa. Seems the best deals are always in Michigan...plus I have friends to visit while up there. Similar aluminum trailers all around me here are $7K+. Theirs is $4,400 loaded and with aluminum wheels. Must be the no dealer-factory direct that makes the difference. I hope to track down the couple at the Rally and talk more with him. Thanks for the input!

You are correct! While Indiana is the RV capital of the US, Michigan is the cargo / utility trailer capital. The best deals are definitely in MI.

At one time they had dealers but after the 2008 recession, they went factory direct. I agree that keeps the price down and the quality high.

That sounds like a great deal. I think you will be very happy with it!

Yes but the prices are ridiculous compared to what R&R charges. And, R&R seems to build a great unit. I'll continue shopping bur I have till 12/31 to get the special sale package they offer.

Check out USA Trailer. They have five or six locations here in Michigan. That's who I bought my 16' car hauler from. (The one that was stolen in August!)

$2800 net...paid $3400 plus tax and crap fees. Used it to drive to Michigan and pick up Jeep, then hauled golf cart to Sunshine Rally in FL...been in building since. Includes mounted spare and rim. PM email...I'll send a few pics if interested.

Yeah, you bought the deluxe model! Mine was only about 2200, brand new. I'm probably not going to replace it because after this year, we're going full time and can't pull both our toad AND the car hauler.
