Rapid Camp system

How well does it work? Is it rechargeable? Your thoughts on it.

Thanks KC

I like to use the Rapid Camp when I want to make sure of clearances. It works great and it is rechargeable. I just use one my dash usb plug ins to recharge. It is used so infrequently that it stays charged for a long time.

I believe it is the USB Mini-b 5 pin. This is the same one used for a lot of portable GPS units.

We have not used ours a great deal yet but it seems to be finicky. Unless I am very careful about pointing it directly at the coach it doesn't always work. I have been able to get all the functions to work but not all the time.
I did discover one peculiar thing this weekend. The porch light was turned on with the Rapid Camp. (Must have been accidental.) I noticed it was on and reached in the coach to turn off the light with the regular switch. It would not go off. Finally tried to turn it off with Rapid Camp and it went off. Then the switch in the coach would turn it on and off.

I use it all the time, and so far it has worked great. I like to stand outside when opening or closing slides to make sure there are no clearance issues, while the wife is inside making sure nothing is in the way inside.

We don’t have a car that we can flat tow yet, so I set up the RV a lot of time by my self and it would helpful to be able to set jacks, and slides from outside of the RV!!!
