Roof Damage

I have a 2010 Damon Tuscany. Had awning severely damaged during storm. Insurance covering awning. However the RV repair facility say is it ripped part of the roof. Insurance stating they may not cover roof. My question is does anyone know how much a new roof normally costs?

Why would insurance cover the awning but not the roof from the same event?

Demand an inspection by a qualified insurance adjuster who has more experience than automotive fender benders.

In answer to your question on cost of a roof, I tore a hole in my Montana fifth wheel via a tree branch. The cost of a new roof was $4500 and that was 8 years ago. Insurance paid it, but since I was in motion, they charged the collision portion of the policy. By doing that, I was charged as having an accident. My insurance rates on all automotive policies were renewed an an increased rate for the next three years.

I agree: the damage was the direct cause of a storm. This is clearly a loss that will be covered.
Whoever told you that they "may not cover the roof"; is letting you stew for no good reason.
