Sounds like the transfer switch might be the issue..... but before you look into it....

- Have you verified you have voltage at the electrical box you are plugging into?

- Have you verified the shore power cable is good and you are getting AC voltage to the end of the cable that plugs into the coach?

I have tried to post a detailed list of things I tried by reading what everybody posts. Tried the breaker in battery compartment. Breaker on the generator. Of course it's not charging the coach batteries. As I mentioned, using on board generator it works.

Couple things....

- Breaker in Battery Compartment would only impact your 12v accessories and not 110V items like a microwave.

- If the generator is giving you 110V, it would not be the breaker on the generator.

There is a Transfer Switch which determines whether there is 110V available from shore power or 110V from the generator.

If you are getting 110V from the generator, it ether means the Transfer Switch is working properly or the relay is "stuck" in the generator position.

If you are not getting 110V from shore power, it means that either there is no power coming through your shore power cable or the Transfer Switch us unable to sense the voltage and /or the relay is not engaging to allow voltage to flow from your shore power connection to your breaker box.

Again, check to be sure you actually have voltage where you are plugging in you shore power cable and that your cable is ok.

If all that checks out, it could be a bad Transfer Switch.

Why would you need to check the breaker on the generator when you said the generator works? The breaker in the battery compartment is for the battery 12 volts. Shore power is 120 volts. Check the shore breaker with a volt meter. Check the voltage in the RV main breaker box with a volt meter.

I am curious as to where you are getting shore power from?

1. Campground (ask the Ranger Station to confirm power)
2. Your house (has it worked before? new? Breaker on etc.
3. Some other place?

Also as I am assuming no voltmeter, do you have a 20amp to 30 amp adapter? Try plugging adaptor to regular extension cord and home outlet to see if you get power.
