Should I take it to Indiana?

The motor wiring has broken on my Axis bunk. From what I have been told, this may be beyond my ‘on site’ repairman’s ability. Have any of you taken your coach back to Thor for this type of work?

By "on-site" are you talking about a mobile tech or a local dealer's service department? Also, is the rig still under warranty?

Sorry, should have noted my rig is a 2014 Thor Axis so no, I don’t think there is any warranty. There is no “local” dealer - closest is Camping World about 70+ miles away. Haven’t had very good experiences with them in the past on several other issues. There is a good mobile tech I’ve used for some other problems. Just really wondering about other’s experiences with going back to the factory.

I have gone back to Thor factory and to dexter. They were both wonderful experience. Plenty of camping around there. Call ahead and they will make you an appointment. Plenty of used rv parts place close by too

Unless you just want to make the trip to Indiana just for the sake of a trip, the problem you describe is elementary.
It's an
any talented kid with some heat shrink and YouTube knowledge type fix.

I tout stereo install places.
It's a 20 to 100 buck fix at any of them in your area, IF we can trust the diagnosis you've been given....
