I don't think we've ever had a problem. Family of 5, and the girls out number the boys. I'm usually last and I think only once when we didn't let it preheat long enough was it ever an issue.

Now I've coached them all about conserving water.....and how to do a "sea shower"...but that's really all about my small grey water tank and nothing really to do with the water heater.... but with the long hair and lack of discipline that navy shower only goes so far.
Granted, in my case, it has time to recover between each shower too.

Flip on the electric + propane and it recovers fast.

If your coach does not have this shutoff (or similar) for limiting water usage during "Navy Showers"
just set the water temps and after wetting up just use to shut off flow until time to rinse..

You can find similar at Ace Hardware/Loews/Home Depot for under $10.

one more thought....someone touched on it but I thought it might be worthwhile to highlight

The original shower head was very anemic trickle. I replaced with an oxygenics, and it sorta blasts the water out. Not what I would want at home necessarily, but it made a huge difference in making it seem like there was more water flow than there really is. I feel like it really helps us to conserve water big time.

When you find a winning combination: you stick with it!

(I've got a backrest on my Spyder that has been on three bikes. )

I thought about that but it was about $11K more for a 2019 vs the 2018. Figured I could do a lot for that amount.

Like Gritz, the DW takes long continuous showers at home. I have purchased a shut-off valve and an Oxygenics shower head which should make the hot water last a little longer. The shut-off valve should make it easier for her to get accustomed to the "Navy" shower. Our first trip is Aug 4th to Pirateland SC. Her learning curve is coming up fast.

RV dealership says we should get out MH back by the end of July. Not much time to get the coach ready for the trip.

Thanks for the tips

In our former DP we had a ten gallon tank, which did well, even with a couple of our grand kids doing full baths consecutively. I typically would run it on both electric and propane, recovery time was quick enough that it did not cause problems. Now with the tankless, there is an almost infinite supply of hot water.

It's a "tankless" job: but it's happy to help out!

These work pretty well with standard water heaters... Not so much with tankless - as that relies on continuous flow.

Same here - in 2nd coach - and both showers at home... Makes big difference in RV... Cheapest, easiest - and among the best 'creature comfort' mods to do...

Hmm.. You are correct on the tankless ones....I didn't remember that when you stop & start the water flow they have to cycle the burner each time..
And arn't they just a bit wasteful of water?? (I don't know .. never had one)

BUT even with the AquaHot, I have the shower shutoff to conserve fresh water when dry camping...112gal will only go so far

We were camping last fall and it was below 40 in the morning. Definitely noticed when I stopped and started the water flow. Nice cold spike a few seconds after turning the water back on!

At least I now know a bit more about where the censorship lines might be in here...

Another happy Oxygenics owner here. We took it out of our travel trailer when we traded it three weeks ago. Even though we have a tankless now, that has gotten great reviews here, the spray pattern and pressure are so much better. The great thing about it is that you push a button and it dribbles so that your water temp does not change. When ready for water, just push the button and you are back to full flow.
