Slideout question

I have a 2020 Thor Windsport 29 M. The slideout only works while plugged into shore power. Even if I run generator it will not move. I am attaching a picture of the controller. If anyone can help with trouble shooting I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Karen Baket

Your generator puts out the same voltage as the shore power which should not be a cause as to why it will not operate under generator power. Have you gotten any error codes when trying to operate it under the generator power? The error codes will be a series of flashing lights on the slide controller you have pictured above. The other issue could be that power from your generator is not reaching the slide controller.

The slide's motors and controller are powered by 12 volt DC, primarily from your house batteries. The slides should work even if the coach is NOT on shore power or the generator, if the key is out of the ignition. Just make shore you battery disconnect relay (use/store or master power) in use/on and the lights in the coach come on (indicating you are on battery power).

I agree with Jim, check your house battery disconnect and make sure that these are ON and not tripped. Also, when the genset is turned on, are you waiting for the transfer switch (if you have one) to activate, or, if you have the pigtail system (no transfer switch) that the pigtail has been moved to the gen set. Either way, the house batteries, if fully charged, should operate the slides.

I have a 2020 Thor Hurricane 29m. The manual says it requires that the engine be running and the parking brake set before the slide will move, so that is the way I always do it.
I have never tried it while on shore power and engine not running so I do not know if it will actually work like that.
