No matter what MH chassis you have, if it is on leaf springs instead of air suspension like the larger diesel pushers, then you probably will have a certain amount of handling issues.

We did a front end alignment and had the Safe T Plus installed at their factory. I would estimate that those changes made about a 20% to 25% improvement in handling. Still in a 20mph cross wind it was hard to stay between the lines.

Had Sumos installed. Today coming west out of Utah into Idaho we had a 20mph cross wind for most of the day. Gusts were probably getting close to 26 or higher but then began hitting us more in the front. The Sumos enabled me to keep rolling along at 68 to 70mph with no issues. I'm not saying it was like driving a car in those conditions but it was just no big deal. Before the Sumos I would have gotten off the road and stayed put.

David, different coaches, different wheel bases, you may do the mods you described and yours will handle great without going to Sumos. I felt that a rear trac bar was not going to get me where I needed to be or I would have tried that instead of Sumos. I had Firestone air bags on a F350 PU and they were great, however I knew I needed help both front and rear.

I think you are going about it the right way. Do a couple mods and then get some miles on to see overall how it responds.

Did you put on the medium SSF-106-40 or heavy duty SSF-106-47 Sumosprings ?

Just installed (myself in a couple hours) Safe T Plus on a 2016 Palazzo 33.3 Freightliner diesel pusher Did a 2000 mile trip Chicago to S Dakota Black Hills. WORTH EVERY PENNY Big difference in handling. I was having trouble in the wind keeping it on the road. I'm a retired firefighter driving fire trucks and Semi tanker trucks all my life, so I have afew miles under my belt. Spend the money You wont regret it
