Step lighting issue solved

On my Challenger the outside "porch" light is on the slide wall and when the slide is extended the light does not illuminate the steps on those dark nights.

Today, using some scrap lumber and left over paint I decided to correct that issue and give the other half a flag hanger as well.

I used an old deck rail post and some 2 x 6 I had from another project. After construction I added a solar post light and now my steps are illuminated and maybe I'll stop banging my shins at night. I'll see how it works out in the NC mountains this weekend.

As a note, the post just slips into the base and the flag holder pivots flat for easy storage and transport.

Dave,

Where you headed in NC Mountains? Out of VA there is Moonshiner 28 (HWY 28). The PR on the web show lots of waterfalls (one you can drive behind) and a bit of "Moonshiner History". It is on our to do this this year. Check out the website Moonshiner28.com.

We are going into Pinnacle for the weekend. Last year during an FMCA rally in Linville, NC we took a day trip up to Mt. Airy. My wife wants to go back and spend a few days in the area and maybe take a day trip up to the Alpaca farm in Fancy Gap, VA, and take a drive along the Yadkin Valley wine trail.

I looked at the Moonshine Trail in Kentucky and I may start planning a trip along the entire trail (beginning in KY and heading south) for sometime next year. Moonshine 28 definitely looks like something that we would enjoy.

I checked it out after dark last night and it puts out enough light to be effective but not enough to disturb the neighbors at a campsite. Also, I forgot to mention the solar light fits snug on the post but I can lift it off and place it on the dash of the coach for charging while travelling if needed.
