Smile Thor 24SR Extra Part

I had this included with my new motor home purchase. What is it. Can't upload photo but it's a metal piece about 3" x 8" and has a level in it. Has two screw holes and looks like something might slide into it.

Maybe a worker lost their level. You get plenty of spare screws when buying one of these things, so why not tools?

It sounds like it could be part of a carpenters slide square. Screw holes could be for the scribe and a slot could be for a missing ruler.

Hey Thor, with my next unit I'll take a 3/8 drive air impact.

Nope, not part of a slide square.

doesn't completely look right to me, but that's the best I've got.....

where was it in the coach?

I'd be happy with a few good driver bits to use on all those screws I keep finding

There is no way they would have a level, that would just improve the quality way beyond the RV industry.

My black bag included a T-handled socket which it turns out is for the decorative lug nuts holding the centers on the 22.5 inch wheels. Asked 3 people at the dealership before I found someone that could answer the question.

Just an annoying tidbit of information:

Ford sells the F53 chassis with standard Alcoa Aluminum 22.5 tires/wheels. Steel wheels/stainless hubcaps with decorative nuts/19.5 tires are all optional!

That thingamabob might be an optional, (customer mounted), storage bracket for the slide out lock.

I have the 22.5 Polished Aluminum Alcoa wheels which have a decorative center cap (covering the hubs) and decorative nuts installed over the wheel studs and lug nuts. Unlike the 19.5 wheels whereby you remove the wheel liner and have access to all lug nuts, the 22.5 inch wheels require the removal of all decorative nuts to get access to the lug nuts holding the wheels in place. Also unlike the 19.5 wheel liners, on the 22.5 the center caps and decorative nuts are not a permanent part of the wheels, they are individual components. The T handle wrench in my black bag is to remove the decorative nuts covering the wheel studs and lug nuts. Although I have not yet removed one, these decorative nuts are usually chrome covered plastic which are easily damaged using impact drivers or some standard hand tools. That is why Ford supplies the T handle wrench which is similar to their actions in providing a plastic socket for the removal of the black plastic lug nut covers for my car's alloy wheels.

I had the steel wheels with simulated stainless liners on my prior Class C (F450 chassis) so I do understand the difference between what I had then and what I have on this coach.

The Thor 24SR that I wanted didn't have a gps or a tv in the bedroom. They agreed to both and installed.

So the extra part is the bracket that is included in the black Thor bag in case the purchaser later would like to mount a TV to the wall.

Mystery solved - the answer is:

I believe I have the answer to the question. It is a mounting bracket for a Ready America Strong Arm LCD Removable TV Mount.

The part in question is the second wall mount for the television and you can move the TV and mount arm from location to location. If you look behind your televisions in the coach you should find another one just like it mounted to the wall or a cabinet.

The web site is:

http://ep.yimg.com/ay/yhst-610993736...l-mount-16.gif

I first saw it a few minutes ago on page 243 of The 2015 McGeorge's RV Parts and Accessories Catalog.
