Thor ACE 30.1 bunk over cab

Hi Campers,

I have a 2015 Thor ACE 30.1. When we purchased this unit we were told there isn't a ladder that comes with the RV to get to the bunk above the cab. Can anyone chime in on this please. It's very difficult for me to to get up there and I'm 6 feet tall!

we have one, but since it just gets in the way, we just step on either the back of the booth seat, or the couch arm, and away we go!

Our 2017 came with one that is stashed behind the couch on a couple of brackets. The trailer we had before the ACE had bunks but no ladder. We found this one on Amazon. We had to cut a few inches off the bottom legs and it worked fine. Just check to make sure it’s long enough as I think the ACE bunk is higher than the one we had in the trailer

We have the ACE 29.4, but looked at a bunch and they all had ladders. Ours doesn't have a good storage location and we don't regularly use the drop down so our ladder is in my garage. I think the seller fibbed to you.

We have the same year 30.2--ours was a direct order and no ladder. In fact, with the jack knife sofa and the bunk both set up for sleeping there is no floor space for a ladder in our unit. In later years Thor improved the design and I believe ladders for the drop down are now standard with the 30.1 & 30.2 coaches.
I'm 5'2' and climb on the dinnette seatback wall. I think it would be hard for a person 6' to move around in that bunk even if you could get up into it!!!!

So I see lots of different responses, but I don't think I got an affirmative that it was in fact standard equipment for the year, and model I have. I bought it brand new from Camping World.

We were using the ledge to stand on, but I doubt that was the intended purpose and now it is loose.

Anybody have the exact model as I do that did get a ladder?

My 2018 ACE 27.2 came with a ladder. Drop down has a place for it to engage.

There is a ladder and mine came with the RV. I'm sure you could order one if you wanted.

Call Thor have your vin # ready tell them you want a ladder and could they ship it to you. If you have to go thru CW get the part # while on phone with Thor. Hope this helps.

Camping World also sells replacement ladders. All you need is the height in inches.

I bought my MH 3 years old and it came with it. My ladder was down in one of the compartments.
