Exactly how I feel also. And if elevating beds a little over a foot (like on so many Euro motorhomes) made it possible to have a pass-through bike garage, that would be an acceptable compromise. Not to mention you’d save 3 or 4 feet of total length.

That Hymer 880 is a beautiful motorhome.


Has there been any word on whether or not it will be available in the U.S. (either manufactured or imported)?


Which Hymer models will initially be manufactured in Indiana?

I would keep an eye on Hymer USA website for updates, which have been completely absent thus far.

Hymer USA site only has a picture of what looks like a Mercedes Class B+ driving across a bridge, but that may not mean much at all.

I personally expect them to start small with Class Bs, B+, and Cs, but that’s just a wild guess on my part.
