ACE 27.2 captain chairs

I am looking to replace the driver’s seat, but can’t find the exact dimensions of the current seat. Any ideas? I was referred to Dave and LJs RV Interiors in Washington. The current seat gives us both back pain and no support despite lumbar cushions etc. we sink down so that our knees are higher than our hips and we want a higher chair with adjustment options. Thanks in advance!

With very minor modification ANY seat will fit that pedestal.
We were going to replace ours with either King Ranch or Silverado seats because we knew they fit us with no discomfort.

We did not do the replacement because someone here on the forum told us to put front spacers in our factory seats to cant them back a bit.
This saved us $1,300 and 5 hours labor.

Any seat from tractor to adventador will fit.

Hi Ducksface,

Do you have any more information about what you did to your seats? I tried to find the post, but have not had any luck.

Thanks

I put half inch stack of washers and slightly longer bolts replacing the front two bolts in each seat-to-base mount,

It is truly hard to imagine the monumental difference this made.
We are perfectly happy now that they have a bit of back-slant.

The person who suggested/first executed this did a really nice tutorial.
It's unneeded.
Pull a front bolt, get one half an inch (or whatever you like,) longer, stack washers to add the back slant.

It was 15 minutes for the first seat, maybe 6 for the second.

One of the best things we've done to the RV.

And we bought these.
I don't use them, spousal unit does.

Butt/back/thigh bolsters. Fully adjustable.

I will have to try the washers.

The wedge bag looks interesting too. When I am driving for a while, I get sore in my lower back and butt. It is like there is a bar going across the back of the seat. Does she use the bags to support areas like that?

Thanks!

The KR seats with three separate adjustable lumber/back supports and massage are definitely worth having

Any longer trips and we drive the KR

Back in the 70's i used Ducks washer tilt feature on several trucks

Before you put the nuts on try the tilt, i used .5 to 3/4 inch depending on the seat
