Thor Synergy SD24

Anyone owning a Synergy SD24 have issues with the bed being uncomfortable feeling the metal from under the mattress?
I have put a quality mattress topper on top of the mattress & still feel the metal.
Looking for a remedy.

Does your mattress split in 2 pieces? Ive been wondering how comfortable they are? If it doesnt split, have you tried a piece of wood under the mattress? Did it come with a quality mattress?

Thank you for responding.
The mattress folds up because of the slide. Maybe another mattress would help???
I am in touch with Thor for a remedy. Still open for ideas from anyone who has any.

Buy a foam topper larger than your mattress and then cut to size. The mattress in our Windsport was as hard as the particle board under it, put a foam topper on now it's super comfortable! You can get toppers at Wal Mart, Kohls, or Amazon. Use an electric knife to cut, super easy!

Thank you for your response.
I bought a quality mattress topper & that still didn't help. I also put foam on the metal piece under the mattress and that didn't help either.

Seems like all the smaller rvs are going to the fold up beds. They just dont look comfortable and is a deal breaker for us. I had posted a similar request on rv tips fb and only response i got was the person either replaced their mattress with a air mattress or added it on top of the fold up mattress. I wasnt quite sure by the response. Good luck. If you find a good solution, please post. I will be watching.

Thank you for your response.
There has to be a remedy.
I will try an air mattress next.

If I find a remedy, I will definitely share my findings.

Our vegas 24.1 came with a air mattress that self inflates. My adult (35) children said it was comfortable.
