Exclamation 2019 Thor Palazzo 37.4 110v Outlets

The wife and I are close to purchasing a 2019 Thor Palazzo 37.4 and it occurred to us we did not see many 110 volt outlets. Was hoping someone who has one can fill us in on how many and locations. Is there one in the kitchen area for a coffee pot and where is it?

I don't know about the Palazzo, but our Aria has one duplex 120V outlet on the underside of the cabinet over the kitchen counter.

Thor MC uses laminated walls with few electrical chases; thus few outer wall duplex receptacles. The receptacles are on the inner walls near the floor, under the cabinets and around the bed and bed furniture. My 31 ft Thor MC has 14 duplex receptacles in three different circuits.

yes, our Palazzo has many 120v outlets, as it uses the 'whole house' Magnum Inverter to provide power, when offgrid, to ALL outlets, for your pleasure.

You should have a 'sub panel' of circuit breakers for these outlets - probably consisting of 4 - 15amp breakers. 1 dedicated to the microwave, 1 that is a GFCI circuit(the master Outlet is typically in the hall bath), and 2 other 'general use' circuits... supplying mostly each 'side' of the coach.
The GFCI circuit will have outlets in the: hall bath(wall), kitchen(under overhead cabinet), the outside storage outlet(on the wall inside the compartment), and maybe even one below the dining table - all should be labeled as 'GFCI circuit'.
The other outlets will all be in places that you might NOT expect - mainly UNDER OVERHEAD CABINETS, within the Bunks, if you have any, and even one in the front next to the Passenger seat(computer table)...

Walls are not good places for outlets in RVs because the walls are 'prebuilt' and running wiring thru them is problematic - since many cabinet interiors have 'false rear walls', the wiring can be handled there easily. Some interior walls might contain wiring, such as the hall bath, but even the bath's GFCI circuit wiring is generally coming from underneath the cabinet/sink area.
My fridge's plug also is under the hall bath sink cabinet, as well as the ice maker's water line shut off.... FUN!

Thor Forums - View Single Post - I want to start a new thread about nothing, and let it run...

The link above is how to install a hidden receptacle for a coffee maker or anywhere within any model rv. (the install location in the link was, indeed, to use where the missing coffee outlet, wasn't.)
They don't install in a wall.
They mount right side up, upside down, or in the side of a cabinet.
There are no wires to splice unless you want to. They easily plug into an existing outlet.

I'm considering one in the existing cup holder hole in the arm of the rv couch.
One is certainly going into the dash near the front passenger seat.

These take an hour labor and are a dandy item to have installed before delivery of your new coach. The dealer has the tools and time and motivation.

Don't let something like outlets stall your choice.
Many people here never modify their coach to suit THEM, settling for less than they wanted.

One reason we bought the coach was for the long 4 ft unobstructed kitchen counter. Unfortunately there was only one duplex GFCI 15 amp receptacle located on that side of the coach. It was daisy chained to the two bathroom receptacles. Since there is a floor chase from the power center to bathroom receptacles, I ran another 14 ga Romex cable from a new GFCI and spliced it into the 14 ga Romex cable leaving the bathroom. This gives me a separate 15 amp circuit only for the kitchen and outside receptacle. I spliced-in a Kungfunking counter top pop-up power strip located in the back center of the kitchen counter. Now I don't have to set the toaster and coffee maker under the smoke alarm.

Exclamation

My 30FE came with one of those built into the kitchen countertop. Perfectly located for both the coffee pot and the portable ice maker, and it also has a couple USB ports. We really like that we can just push it down out of the way when we don't need it.

They're so easy and so inexpensive.
Three plug-ins, you don't have to fully extend it to use it, and we also have two USB ports.

They should be standard on all counters.
It's why I called it my favorite modification.

Outlets in Bedroom?

We also are looking to close a deal on the 37.4 Palazzo. We both use C-Paps but don't see any outlets near the bed. Have we missed them?

There is one on each side of the bed below the mattress.

Bathroom gfci

Hello,
I have a 2019 thor palazzo 37.4 and the bathroom gfci which allows power for several of the outlets will not reset and only blinks red. Has anyone else had this problem? The only thing i could find for information on this issue is that it should be replaced. Does anyone know of this is 15 amp or 20 amp gfci? Can it be replaced with a gfci from Home Depot or does it have to be something special?
Thank you!

Home Depot or Lowes GFCI will work.

You could look and the CB in the power center that supplies the GFCI with current. In my coach it is a 15 amp CB. Normally the bathroom GFCI is a 15 amp and of the common variety with a 15 amp aux circuit.
