TV will not turn on

We have a 2017 Thor Axis.
TVs all worked fine last year.
Now this year, the TV over the door will not turn on.
Checked remote battery. It is okay.
Pushed the manual TV turn on button. Nothing works.
TV is just dead!
Any suggestions??

Check the receptacle that the TV is plugged into for power. If good, replace the TV.

If you’re on shore power and everything else is working it might be time to get a new TV. But first try plugging it into an extension cord directly to shore power or test it’s outlet with a light or tester. The outlets in most RVs can fail easily because of the way they are wired. Good luck!

I just got my 22 axis but I'd say assuming that the fuses are good, power booster is on, battery is good and electricity is running to the cabin (via rv plugged in or generator on) then the TV is probably dead. Especially if all that is on and the tv standby light isn't lit.

This is a common issue with the low-end Axxera/Seiki TV's. Lots of posts on the topic.
My bedroom Seiki TV suddenly lost sound for no apparent reason last year. The picture was fine.
So I replaced it, just like you will probably need to do.

Do these things first before thinking about replacement:

Is it plugged in?
If it is plugged in, is there power at the outlet. Check with a tester or a known good 110V appliance.
If no power at outlet, is the inverter on. Often power is supplied to the TV from the inverter whether shore power is on or not.

If power at the outlet and the TV won't come on, replace the TV. If power is not at the outlet look further at the inverter. Is the battery supplying power to it. Check to see if it lights when no shore or generator is on to tell. If no light, check the DC to the inverter. Maybe the use/store switch is off. When the switch is off and on shore or generator power, DC systems will be powered by the converter but usually not the inverter. So check the switch.

Or a Roku TV - the only one with an OTA TV guide and built-in channel streaming.

I had a lower end TV in my old fifth wheel. I replaced it when it died with one from Costso. Lowest price I could find. Sine I am a retired engineer, I was going to fix the power board, but found a used one on ebay. $12.00 and free shipping. Plug and play. It is now in my wife's sowing/exercise room. She also has a desk and computer in there as well.

Both Seiki tVs went out within two years of buying our new motorhome. We replaced them both with 32 inch Roku TCL TVs, and they have been perfect

If you have Spectrum as your regular TV/Internet provider, be aware that they are in a contract dispute with Roku and the Spectrum app won’t work on a new Roku TV. If you already have it hooked up, it still works. I bought a little Roku TV for a rental house in Hawaii, found out too late. Good thing they’re incredibly cheap. Supposedly the issue will get resolved.
